Aid organization for underprivileged children in Mongolia

Help campaign primary school De Zonnewijzer

The chairman of the Steppekinderen Foundation gives the starting signal for the sponsored run

A few months before, we gave a lecture at the school about the harrowing fate of orphans in Mongolia. Now, the primary school ‘De Zonnewijzer’ in Amersfoort is organizing a sports day, including a sponsored run to raise money for the aid projects of the Steppekinderen Foundation.

Pupils, teachers and parents work together fantastically and succeed in making it a very fun sports day, full of exciting competitions. The school raises the record amount of €5,000 so that construction of a ger can immediately start in Ulaanbaatar.

Help underprivileged children in Mongolia

Since 2006, the foundation tries to improve the situation of the children in Mongolia each year. Thanks to donations and collection campaigns, we have built 26 gers (living shelters).

Even a relatively small amount of money can do a lot, because in Mongolia, where many herders earn barely twenty euros a month, your money is worth more than five times that!
