Help project school community De Waerdenborgh
School community De Waerdenborch in Holten organized a theme day, where €10,800 was collected for the Steppekinderen Foundation. This allowed three poor families to get housing.
From one of the district governors of Ulaanbaatar we received an urgent request for help for Ms. Munkhtungalag, a homeless, severely ill mother who has been left alone with her two children respectively aged 1 and 9. To prevent her from having to give her children to an orphanage, the board of the foundation has decided to spend part of the money collected by the students of De Waerdenborch schoolcommunity on the purchase of a living tent with a stove for this vulnerable family.
On June 10th 2011, our employee in Ulaanbaatar completed its construction and set up the living tent in the Khan-Uul district.

Since 2006, the foundation tries to improve the situation of the children in Mongolia each year. Thanks to donations and collection campaigns, we have built 26 gers (living shelters).
Even a relatively small amount of money can do a lot, because in Mongolia, where many herders earn barely twenty euros a month, your money is worth more than five times that!
Thank you to all who support our small but important work!
