From cold corridor to ger

On March 1st, 2013, a complete living tent was donated as a new housing to Altantulkhuur Otgonbayar; a single woman who has been living with her three sons for several years on the meager proceeds of usable waste that they gathered together on the large rubbish dump on the outskirts of Ulaanbaatar.
Until recently, the family of four lived in a covered stone corridor without any heating. They have been living in abject poverty for years, have had no money for clothing and could only buy food if they found enough usable items on the rubbish dump.
The children are Mungunjiguur (14), Ganjiguur (10), and Gankhulug 2 years old. They are very happy with the ger that our employee in Ulaanbaatar built for them. The ger was delivered on March 1st and set up with the help of enthusiastic volunteers from the neighborhood.
Help underprivileged children in Mongolia
Since 2006, the foundation tries to improve the situation of the children in Mongolia each year. Thanks to donations and collection campaigns, we have built 26 gers (living shelters).
Even a relatively small amount of money can do a lot, because in Mongolia, where many herders earn barely twenty euros a month, your money is worth more than five times that!
Thank you to all who support our small but important work!
