The family, which has gotten into serious financial difficulties after the father’s departure, does not have sufficient means to rent housing. The mother used to work at a kindergarten, but nowadays she can only find occasional work as a cleaner. Her children are between nine months and thirteen years old.

The ger that the family has received is the 25th ger that the Steppekinderen Foundation has had built in Mongolia.

Help underprivileged children in Mongolia

Since 2006, the foundation tries to improve the situation of the children in Mongolia each year. Thanks to donations and collection campaigns, we have built 26 gers (living shelters).

Even a relatively small amount of money can do a lot, because in Mongolia, where many herders earn barely twenty euros a month, your money is worth more than five times that!
