The severe storm also destroyed Ms. Monkhbayar’s dwelling tent.
She earns a meager income by sewing clothing and she is also dependent on food vouchers.

Ms. Monkhbayar has three sons. The oldest is 28 and mentally disabled.
He constantly needs his mother’s care and can only perform very simple tasks to a limited extent. The other boys are 14 and 5 years old.

Stichting Steppekinderen has also helped this family with a new dwelling tent.

Help underprivileged children in Mongolia

Since 2006, the foundation tries to improve the situation of the children in Mongolia each year. Thanks to donations and collection campaigns, we have built 26 gers (living shelters).

Even a relatively small amount of money can do a lot, because in Mongolia, where many herders earn barely twenty euros a month, your money is worth more than five times that!
