Also emergency aid to a second family after storm damage
A second family also becomes homeless due to the same devastating storm. Ms. Monkhbayar, a single mother with three sons, also receives a new dwelling tent from Stichting Steppekinderen.
At the end of July, our staff member in Ulaanbaatar met Ms. Nyambayar, a single mother who had become homeless a few days earlier due to a severe, devastating storm and since then had been forced to sleep in the open air with her three daughters near the remains of her destroyed ger.
Her children are 14, 8 and 2 years old.
She has to make ends meet with government food vouchers.
The Steppekinderen Foundation has had a new home built for the affected family as quickly as possible, which has now been put into use.

Since 2006, the foundation tries to improve the situation of the children in Mongolia each year. Thanks to donations and collection campaigns, we have built 26 gers (living shelters).
Even a relatively small amount of money can do a lot, because in Mongolia, where many herders earn barely twenty euros a month, your money is worth more than five times that!
Thank you to all who support our small but important work!
